When I first saw this story it thought it would need to be posted in the jokes section, but it seems to be a real business plan from Olialia (pronounced "ooh-la-la") a Latvian company run and staffed by blonde women.
Apparently all the staff on the island will be selected exclusively by hair colour - meaning only blondes will be employed there. At present it is not specified whether the Maldivian staff, which are legally required to work at all resorts in the country, will have to dye their hair blonde in order to conform with the brand values.
Before all you red bloodied males start making plans to holiday in the Maldives try to figure out whether this is just a fun but dumb-arse blonde idea, or if there is some rabid political or idealogical motive at work? Either way it still seems a half baked scheme that will cause international frictions.
