From NPR Morning Edition:

In Bridgeport, Connecticut, a man was arrested for dialing 911 dozens of times. 911 is the same as 999 in the U.K. He called three times on Sunday and told emergency responders this was the emergency - he was out of beer. He offered them money to go buy some.
