Just want to say "Hi" and I can't wait for the new season. Hope this site proves more successful than previous efforts. Look forward to chatting on the boards!

Hi TimmyTime, welcome to GPW. Pull up a chair and make yourself right at home. :good:

Welcome to GPW TimmyTime I hope you find yourself at home here.
Sorry but I have got to ask....is your username anything to do with this? Or is your name just Timmy Time?

Welcome to the mad house TimmyTime. :good:
-
Thanks for the welcome's. I look forward to joining in the madness. To answer your question Alonsofan, you are one third right. My name is Tim but not Time LOL. Maybe I am too old but never heard of Timmy Time, catchy song though. Only sheep I know is Shaun out of Wallace and Grommit :DntKnw:

Hiya TimmyTime welcome to GPW, the best F1 site on the web, friendly with no trolls but ribbing is normal.
-
Hey Tim, welcome to the fun! :good: :good:
-
Hi Timmy, welcome to the madhouse, but as Ian says plenty of friendly banter, also plenty discussions with plenty of differing opinions, but deffo NO Trolls. :nono:
We all like it, hope you do and post along with the rest of us.

Shame, that would have been a brilliant name hehe.
Timmy Time is a children's spin off of Shaun the Sheep which got it's own cartoon from Wallace and Gromit.

Thanks for the welcome's again. Seems a friendly place so far :good:
Though I must say thanks a bunch to Alonsofan, I have been humming that catchy theme tune all day at work. I have been getting some strange looks from colleagues as I don't even have any kids. I might regret my username LOL it was meant to be a reference to " hammertime" though I can see that changing now.

Welcome to this little corner of the web T.T.
It's an intimate little community, but very knowledgeable and most of the members come complete with a very effective DRS system. Yes, that's "Dangerously Referable Sarcasm" ... system!! :DD
Seriously though, they are a good bunch of folks who present a friendly, well respected community ... and everything F1.
Enjoy! :)
Best Regards,
Cal :)

Sorry about that TimmyTime. Good luck trying to get it out of your head hehe.
It could have been worse, you could have popped out in your lunch break to the supermarket, picked up a pineapple and said, "Who Lives In A Pineapple Under The Sea?" I have never done that.... ::) :-[
I give everyone on this site a nickname, so from now on you will be called....Baaaaa
-
Howdy, TimmyTime! Glad to have you here! Lots of friendly folk (even if we do wonder off topic frequently ;) ).
-
Thanks again everyone. Baaaaa guess that could be worse LOL but what is everyone else's??
Also that's an easy one.. SpongeBob Square pants lives in the pineapple under the sea but can't say I have ever done that in a supermarket LOL....have you Alonsofan??
-

My 'Alonsofan' call sign is "Abbaman" ... or do I mean Trigger Word?? :stop: :DD
If you look around the forums, you will see my "Abba-Taxi" ... she made me do it - I am quite normal otherwise, well, I follow F1, so I must be "normal" ... right??
Best Regards,
Cal :)

You have never done that in a supermarket :o Then my friend you are existing not living hehe so get yourself to your nearest supermarket and grab yourself a pineapple hehe.
As for members nicknames, that information is baaaaarred ;) 🐑
-
... ignore her Timmy, she is just trying to pull the wool over your eyes. She will act sheepishly once she has realised this. If she talks "cars" ... just say you own a Lamb-baaar-geeny.
Best Regards,
Cal :)
-
So are you Abbaman or abbaaaaaaaman LOL
Or am I exclusive to the sheep noises? Thank God I am not a baaaaarber.
I promise when I visit a supermarket tomorrow, if it is not too busy, I will give it a go just for you Alonsofan. LOL

Timmy, I think you now own exclusive rights to Sheep noises, courtesy of Alonsofan. I am purely labelled as "Abbaman" ... as that's what's stated in my Super-Trouper-License. It provided me with plenty of track time (the Vinyl kind of course).
Best Regards,
Cal :)

Well as I am now have my own nickname, Baaaaaa, it is only fair Alonsofan you get one in return. I will now call you Magdalena.
-
Nice approach Baaaa!
I wonder if we can turn Magdalena into "Aunty Mag" :DD
I best go and do something partially productive now ... or at least grab lunch (2pm over here).
Best Regards,
Cal :)

Magdalena??? It sounds okay but why??? It sounds like a dance...oh no wait that's the Macarena :DntKnw:
-
It's a Spanish cake. I was reading you have a certain nickname for your favourite driver so I combined Spain and cakes. Oh by the way, I was so close to completing your challenge with a pineapple today but I bottled it as there were too many people, so I just picked it up and laughed. Cowardly I know LOL
-
I like what you have done there Baaaaa hehe. Magdalena it is hehe
Though I am a little disappointed you didn't do the pineapple challenge :nono: You could have just said it very quietly or put an earpiece in and pretended you were on the phone hehe. There are always ways around these challenges you just have to think outside the sheep pen Baaaaa hehe.
-
You crack me up :DD :DD
I promise to try harder next time with the pineapple. Maybe a 24 hour supermarket at 2.00 am might offer a better chance LOL
Or is that cheating Magdalena??
-
Welcome to Grand Prix Wizard, Tim, and have a fantastic time in our little community.
I'm a particular fan of Jordan/Midland/Spyker/Force India/Strollin' Rollin'/whatever-it's-called-this-week and would like to see what fun nickname you have for me :)
-
Crumbs I have gotten myself into a hole here, I blame you Magdalena.
I will have to have a think Alianora, to be fair Calman pointed me in the right direction for Alonsofan's nickname maybe he could help out here??? Please??? LOL
-
Given her vast knowledge of F1 in particular and racing in general, maybe "The Professor"?
-
Given her vast knowledge of F1 in particular and racing in general, maybe "The Professor"?
On that similar vein, how about "Professor Point" ??
Best Regards,
Cal :)

Sorry guys but the title professor is reserved in F1 circles for that fantastic French multi world champ Alain Prost. :stop:
I think a much better sobriquet for Alia would be 'Brains' as in the Thunderbirds series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson in the 1960s.
I think it fits better, 'Brains' never flew or undertook missions but was the all knowing background figure that they all looked to for advice, information and solutions -much the same as how we all see Alia.

I can see Alianora knows her stuff about F1 and I like your idea John :good:
I would try to incorporate pink cars into your idea though John so my nickname for Alianora would be,
Lady Penelope.
A clever character from Thunderbirds, who gets driven around in an expensive pink car and she can even choose Sergio or Lance to be her chauffeur.
-
As you wish TT.
Can't see either of them boys in pink getting their tongues round "Yis Me Lady" quite like Parker though. :tease:
