G'day Red and all the new members.

Hey Wiz, c'mon now.....let the guys know, I am pretty much the only one that waffles on with rambling tales and stories that twist and turn and change and end up completely off track, like the time I wore an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time.......oops....did it again.....

Rom

P.s. thanks to Grandpa Simpson for the onion line.....and all my writers

anyways WELCOME......

Heh, it's a Brit word.  A zimmer is called a walker in America; you know, one of those frame things that old folks push ahead of them to help them walk...

Mine's not for sale, by the way. :D

Hey Cossie, you're a spring chicken compared to me.

I get my first pension cheque - I hope - in just over a month's time.

It does have it's advantages. I have my bus pass and use it. I drove the truck with trailer and racing car across to the ferry to Gozo when we went there racing last month and got the whole fare for half price. :good:

'zimmer' has become a generic term for frame type walking aids in the UK as Zimmer was the name of the  (American) company who were the one time brand leader.

Much the same as when we refer to a vacuum cleaner as a 'Hoover'

how do I come across such eseoteric nonsense? - I used to purchase and distribute disability aids and equipment in a previous worklife!
