Title: New US TV Racing Network
Post by: cosworth151 on August 31, 2007, 05:14:32 PM
Jim Liberatore, the man who ran Speedvision back before it got Murdoch'ed in Speed Channel, is trying to start a new cable network, The Racers Network. He wants to know if a dedicated television channel with 1000 hours of live or same-day road racing would be a good thing. Is there interest among the car-racing community for such a channel?

He's talking about all the things that used to be on Speedvision: rally, open wheel, karting, vintage, the whole works. Anyone who has seen much of Speed Channel knows that it's 90% to 95% junk like Pinks and NASCAR til you're Nauseous.

If this sounds good to you, drop by his website:

I hope he can make it work.
