22 Stunning Vacation Destinations
« on: December 20, 2013, 04:22:36 PM »
Buzzfeed.com has put up a world wide list of 22 Stunning Under-The-Radar Destinations. My favorite is #19. Besides being the only one in The States, it is only about 25 minutes from my home. It's a very large area spread over about half of a county. I've hiked there since I was a child & still take my grand daughter hiking there. There are also some tremendous sports car and/or motorcycle roads thought the area.

I know I am late with this but ... O wow.  Have actually been to Lombok in Indonesia a couple of times and I can verify, it is like stumbling upon on Eden. Just with less snakes and safe apples. Even the nakedness is there. Me and my husband went there in 2009 or so, and then returned a couple of years ago. For my birthday he offered either a return to Lombok or some Mesenso pearls - the pearls are beautiful, but I took the beach. (I asked for the pearls this year )  ::)

Re. the others, I actually have an old friend who doesnt live to far from Schönau am Königsee. Time to pay a visit methinks ...

Absolutely superb Scott, looks fantastic. Would be bliss to be sat at the table in pic 12, either for brekkie in the morning or with a bottle of wine in the evening. Seriously though, the rebuild is superb.  :good:  :good:  :good:
