Dumb Idea du Jour - Driverless Racing
« on: December 02, 2015, 07:23:34 PM »
Formula E, where they change the car instead of the tires on a pit stop, has come up with one of the stupidest racing ideas ever. They want a race series with no drivers! They hope to have the Roborace series up & running during the 2016-17 season.

This looks like a job for John Connor.

It is sort of logical. Having taken out the fuel, why not take out the other major organic component in the equation?

And finally remove the last organic part, the audience.

I dunno.  I'd be curious to see roboracing.

It will be interesting to see a series where safety  isn't a prime concern, where the cars can be pushed to the utter limit.

Besides, I doubt there will be any 'pay robots' lining up on the grid, they'll all be there on merit!  :-*
