Arise Sir Lewis: Hammy goes under the sword at Windsor
« on: December 15, 2021, 12:23:48 PM »
Lewis took his Mum to his investiture at Windsor Castle today. Well done that man.  :good:

Might be the first time he has been in a room where he has been out blinged by everyone else.  :D

Absolutely well deserved by Sir Lewis.  He really has made an effort to use his fame to make the world a better place.  Hopefully that's a lesson that Max will take as well.

Just a quick commentary, it's fantastic he brought his mother along.  In F1 we always hear about the drivers' fathers:  John Button, Anthony Hamilton, Lawrence Stroll and Jos Verstappen being pitlane fixtures for many years.  It's nice to see their mothers (and other family members) who made huge sacrifices for their children being included as well.

Congratulations Sir Lewis Hamilton! Also, I like that he was able to being his Mum to the ceremony (I was surprised guests were permitted at all).
