I have driven the short circuit at Cadwell a couple of times but never had a chance to try the mountain section.  I love the idea of a mountain in Lincolnshire.

I have no doubt that you would have enjoyed a day at Cadwell.

Steven, it certainly lived up to the hype. I think it would take a few visits to really get to know the circuit. The Mountain does feel rather scary as the back wheels lift when you are at the top and you lose traction. Cheers

The corner I could never understand was Barn.  That looked ridiculously dangerous.  To think in Senna's day they ran F3 round there.  Scary.  For anyone who doesn't know the circuit the corner is called barn because there is a barn on the exit.  No kerb, no barrier just a barn.

Thank you Ian.

Stephen,
Barn, The Hairpin and Hall Curves are really hard to get right. The corners in that part of the circuit come thick and fast. If you go off line you kinda lose your rhthym there I found.

I've no idea how the likes of Senna in the F3 raced there, way too narrow in places I'd have thought. Cheers

Hi pleiades, the cost of the Trackday was £175.
Cheers Cos, was a good day. Would most probably go again this year if it wasn't a four and half hour drive. I'll go again next year for sure.

Nice one Neil glad you finally got there. It is a bit hairy the first time but it does get a lot less scary.

im going to have to take my car on a track, probably one of those airfields for novices,  just so i can find its limit without worrying about crashing it  :o

Pleaides, some of the airfield days can result in some really nasty stone chips due to the amount of gravel thats there. I would go for a trackday at Bedford Autodrome if you was worried at all. Great surface there mate and no barriers at all, loads of run off area.

Only problem with Bedford is that they are quite strict with noise.

thanks neil, been looking at Bedford Autodrome, they also do novice days at Oulton Park which is nearer for me, but if i loose control of the car, im hitting a barrier and that'll cost a fortune to fix,  but its very hard to loose control of a scooby cos of the ecu.  :good:

Shell if i see ur ex i'll mow him dwn  :DD

I agree with Neil about Bedford Autodrome. Absolutely the best place for a first track day and only 10 mins from me :)

Some of those Oulton Park barriers do a lot of damage.  I crash tested a couple of them.  You also have to keep an eye out for rabbits on the line.  You end up with blood and rabbit bits all over the car.
