Title: Richard Hammond in Hospital
Post by: Scott on June 10, 2017, 05:31:50 PM
After a very serious crash in a mountain race in Switzerland.  The car left the road, flipped and caught fire.  Emergency services were quickly on the scene and he has been airlifted to a local hospital.  No reports of injuries other than they were reported as serious.  Hope he's ok.

On the accompanying video, it looks like he overcooked a sharp corner after having a wiggle just before.

** Update - The Grand Tour just tweeted that he was involved in a 'serious' accident, but that he has no serious injuries.  Whew

A later statement from the The Grand Tour:“Richard Hammond was involved in a serious car crash... Very fortunately suffered no serious injury. Richard was conscious and talking and climbed out of the car himself before the vehicle burst into flames.”

It was a nasty looking crash. I'm glad he was able to get out before the fire & that  he's OK.

Hammond is gonna kill himself one of these days, I bet his family aren't too pleased with him, although they'll be happy that he seems ok.
