Cheers Dare, if your gun don't get me, firing that one will cave the back of my skull in, fine, I like you too.  :DD  :DD

Sporting regs to guns?? Only on GP Wizard folks!!  :DD

Not much chance of getting a legally held gun in Northern Ireland unless you own an estate to fire it on.

Glad to here the 107% rule is back. Should put some pressure on the back enders and make quli even better.

The guys in Q1 won't know if they're in or out until after Q3 is over. If Vettel, Hamilton and Alonso continue to go much faster in qualifying than in practice, there may be long faces in a lot of garages.

No, they only need to match 107% of the top time in Q1... that is when the good cars are using up their allocation of hard tires.  They can still fall out of 107% of the pole time.

(Cars that fail to reach this threshold may use a time from practise)

Thanks for the clarification. My way would be more interesting.  ;)

I was wondering how that would work myself, but that makes sense Jeri.

when you 2 get around to reading it give me a short summary,

It's so bad that it locks up my computer.

How's that for a summary?

I have read now that you may be granted an exception to the 107% rule if you have turned a faster time in any practice session. So, if you crash out before getting a good time, ala Alonso at Monaco, you will still be allowed to start at the rear. It becomes more important to do a quick time in practice, probably P3.

Sounds like they will come up with exceptions to make sure all the big teams start the race.

Good for us is that it would be smart for the teams to try to set a fast time early in practice in case something happens to the car before the race.  That way we will have a better idea of the true pace.

Hopefully the new teams will have closed the gap, and this hardly comes up anyway.
