Nice, sly slap at Webber there. If you had any doubt that Vettel is #1 this should erase it.

At least when Lauda says stupid things we forgive him because of his world titles.  ::)

What has Marko ever brought to F1, apart from 'love my boy' comments. :fool:
Instead of just using his title Dr he should certainly consult one - a big head shrinker preferably.  :P

Herr Marko - Here's your sign.

What Marko was really saying
"Yes, Vettel races in a Newey car, but he (Alonso) seems to have missed that we put two of them (Newey cars) at the start, and at the end it is always Vettel who wins because we made Newey develop the car specifically for Vettel and we put all the dodgy parts on Webber's car."

I never take any notice of Marko.  He's so biased in favour of Vettel that he can't see the wood for the trees.  As for complaining that Alonso is a sore loser, he clearly doesn't pay any attention to his protégé's comments when he doesn't win races.

For me Mr. Marko is finance manager, not a racer, so when he comments about a racer, it is not justified at all, and such a way diminishes Vettel's credibility. If Alonso & Ferrari asked for a clarification and didn't lodge any complaints, then all they exercised was their right, which seemed to be very reasonable.

Every champion should be sore loser, it is their racing right. Otherwise you are no longer pushing yourself to the limits.

They can be gracious in defeat, yet express disappointment.  This is where I critique Vettel's approach.  His demeanour and comments after losing a race often give the impression that he is a sore loser relative to a number of the other drivers.

Where I do agree with you is that Marko does diminish Vettel's title success by criticising Ferrari and Alonso in such a manner, when no official protest was actually made.  Ferrari didn't make a huge song and dance about this, and once the footage was analysed, the story was quickly forgotten.

3 points, that's all. I think Fernando was entitled to look disappointed, if he hadn't been taken out through no fault of his own, in two races I think, there's a strong chance he would have had his 3rd WDC crown. He drove his guts out all of the season.

Very true, yet Vettel also retired from a couple of races due to alternator failure. I think DNFs are a wash. No doubt Alonso showed his amazing talent with a less than stellar car, but I think the Ferrari improved considerably as the season progressed. Note that at the last few races, Massa was on pace with Ferd for the most part. Ferrari sorely need to fix their wind tunnel problems and give their drivers a car on pace with RB and Macca.

From what I've read and heard over the years, Dr Marko isn't the most pleasant of individuals.  Its one thing being a bad loser (which Fernando is not), but to be a bad winner is unforgivable.

Totally agree. Next year we will be able to compare him to Lauda to see who is the biggest putz.

Agreed Lonny, next year it will be the battle of mouth between these two Austrians. Though I am sure it will be more about Mercedes being lapped by Red Bull rather than championship battles..

Because until and unless Santa hands Mercedes something extraordinary, there is no way that Mercedes will be anyway near Red Bull..
