I heard that the rooms in Austin were as outrageous as the ticket prices & lack of access.
My motel at Indy, a few blocks down Crawfordsville Road from the track, was $129/night for Friday & Saturday, $65/night for Wed, Thur & Sunday. That was for a ground floor, direct entry room with free parking at the door. The place has a great bar, too! (The Starting Line Lounge  :yahoo: )
