2018 F1 Schedule
« on: June 20, 2017, 11:47:22 AM »
The FIA has released the first draft of the 2018 F1 schedule. No real surprises. It starts in Melbourne & ends at Yas Marina. France returns on 24 June at Le Castellet (a.k.a. Paul Ricard). Monaco is still the same day as the Indianapolis 500. Baku moves up the schedule & Sochi moves back. Shanghai & Singapore get the "provisional" asterisk.

And no conflict with Le Mans.  :yahoo:

My understanding is that Singapore wasn't coming back for the same reasons as Malaysia, so expect it to be 20 races by the time we get there. That triple-header's still going to be very tough, though.

I rather like both Mayasia and Singapore.  Would hate to lose both.

I'm looking forward to the triple header.  I realize it will pose some challenges, but it's the premier motor racing:  it is supposed to be challenging.  Just as creating opportunities for mistakes on track makes for interesting racing, so does making opportunities for mistakes off track.
