I went to the last day of testing on Friday and posted a few pics up in Members pics if anyone's interested.

Luke, we had access to over the pits and the paddock too - as my wife and I are both F1 followers then we treated ourselves as a Xmas pressie. We could never afford this for a race weekend but it's surprisingly reasonable for pre-season testing. It was a brilliant day and I'd definitely do it again.

I do not blame you pushing the boat out for that access during testing!  It looks like you had some stunning views of the cars.  Definitely something I will try to do in the future, maybe if I get my contract at work renewed past the end of April I can plan to take a break and go next year.

Great pix! Looks like you did get right up close.

Lol, he looked like he needed a few hugs at the events we went to. How frustrating if McLaren actually have a decent reliable car this year - it certainly seemed that way in testing. Incidentally, I have to say all the cars livery looks so much better live than in the pictures. Except the Ferrari - it's not Ferrari Red, it just looks like burnt orange and half finished!

Indeed Rob!

Most sources would have us believe that light conditions made the car appear "orange" (or at least a pale/rusted mid tone red), but I can fully trust your feedback, as many fans are also concerned how "un-red" the car looks.  A long way from the blood-red Ferrari of yesteryear!!

Even launch photos looked weird - again, trying to convince fans that lighting was the primary culprit.

Best Regards,
Cal :)

I am up for a few hugs...a whole day of hugs would be better hehe

I can pretty much guarantee McLaren will have a good car this year, that's just how Baby Cakes luck works  :'(

As for Ferrari, hopefully the engine goes bang and it turns a burnt shade of burnt orange hehe

I have a feeling that this could be Ferrari's year!! ... so I hope they don't go "bang"  :o

It would be nice to see McLaren move forward and if a miracle exists, some progress for Williams.

Best Regards,
Cal :)
