Title: Sauber Keeps Kobayashi and Pérez for 2012
Post by: cosworth151 on July 28, 2011, 07:07:50 PM
Sauber has announced that they will keep race drivers Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Pérez for the 2012 season. They will also be keeping 19 year old test driver Esteban Gutièrrez for the coming season.

One more bit of the Silly Season put to rest.

I'd be more suprised if they hadn't kept the pair, they have both performed well and either could easily find another seat. Perez because of his first half rookie performance, oh and of course his backers; ;) Kobayashi simply for his racing performance.

Kobayashi must be waiting very patiently for Webber or Button to call it a career, or Massa to finally move on from Ferrari.

No disrespect to the Sauber team, but I'd like to see Kobi in a 'top' car before his banzai style of racing calms down.

If Perez keeps beating him, it might be a while...
