Funny he mentions the Wars of the Roses. Back in April I bought a gadget called ROKU. Lets you stream certain content from the internet to your TV. Many of the sited I signed up for recommended a show called "The White Queen". Historical Drama and pretty good, though a bit soapy. It made me do a bit of research on the subject, I love history, fascinates me. Read a bit, watched a couple of docs. I can recommend "The Plantagenets: Englands Bloodiest Dynasty", and "The Wars of the Roses". Found them on a site I love called Acorn TV, the US site for British TV. In addition, many years ago I started a family tree. One of my 11th (or so) great Grandfathers was a man named William Bostic, who lived in a tiny town called Bostic in Lancaster country. The local Baronet (?) was Sir Adam de Bostic (who may or may not be my 12th GGF, though I tend to doubt it); He is confirmed to have fought at the battle of Blore Heath, near Ludlow Castle, and of course would have brought some of his people with him including my 12th GGF whoever he was. It gets a bit tricky when you're back 600 years, lots of records lost. At any rate, it gave me a bit of a tingle up my spine to be able to picture my ancestor possibly fighting for Henry VI (though he certainly was not fit to be the King) nearly 600 years ago.
