Arrgghhhh I've lost out on two, yes TWO sets of hospitality tickets for this testing at Silverstone.  >:(

First I get back from hols to find a letter from Mclaren with limited spaces - of course all gone.

Then found BT hospitality tickets on Ebay and was out bid by £5 this afternoon  :(

Not such a Wiz now eh?

Is there access to all of the grandstands? Can you sit opposite the pits?

Thank you in advance. :)

Hi Wendy and welcome,

Access is restricted, the only grandstands you can use are Woodcote and the Pit Straight.

Hope this helps.

:good: Certainly did help - thank you!

Looks like we are going tomorrow... should be there for just after 9.00am... Do we need to take sandwiches or are there vendors selling food and drink?

I used to go years ago (mid 80's - early 90's) yep - that old! :) and loved the tyre testing sessions of that era and when the buzzer went at 5.00pm you could wander over to the pits and meet the drivers... just excellent... I can remember touching the tyre of Alain Prost's car as soon as it came back from testing... I had no idea, till then, how hot the tyres actually got... A mechanic shook his head at me, laughed and said, I bet you wish you'd not done that now! Too right! :)

Thanks for reading...
Wendy

Wendy, you lucky, lucky thing you.  :yahoo:

As I understand it, the only food available will be from vending machines so you may be wise to take your own, unless you make gross sandwiches of course.  ::)

There will also be a merchandise shop so be sure to take some pennies with you. Hope you have a great time and I look forward to you telling us all about it. If you take any pics then post them in the image gallery (http://www.gpwizard.co.uk/index.php?ind=gallery).

You can check the weather here (http://www.itv.com/page.asp?partid=52&CircuitID=10). Don't forget your earplugs!
