I'd be pleased if DR stuck around a long time. I don't know if he'll ever take a drivers title, but if Lady Luck visits McLaren a bit more often, he could fight regularly for podiums, especially when one of the top three teams are struggling, like Ferrari this year.
It seems odd to suggest McLaren isn't a top 3 team, same for Williams :'(

It's only been 6 years since Williams was a top 3 team
McLaren was top 3 just last year (though took 7 years off from the top 3)
It's weird that 2 of the 3 all time great teams have had time off, but also good for the sport that other teams have had ongoing success.
