Title: The Goodwood Revival
Post by: Wizzo on August 15, 2006, 01:48:57 PM

If you love your vintage motors, you need to get yourself down to the Goodwood Revival -  the only motor event of its kind to be staged in a time capsule of the 50s and 60s.

The Revival relives the glory days of Goodwood Motor Circuit ( between 1948 and 1966). During this time, it hosted Formula One, the famous Goodwood Nine Hours race and the Tourist Trophy sports car race. It's all back for three days in September, staging a historic race meeting for cars that would have competed in the era.

Grand Prix cars from the Fifties and Sixties, sports and GT cars all race, driven by famous faces from motor sport past. including (in the past) Sir Stirling Moss, Sir Jack Brabham, Derek Bell, David Coulthard, Damon Hill, Gerhard Berger and Johnny Herbert. And to add to the authenticity, the circuit is restored to its past heyday, while many visitors wear period clothing of the day. You could be in an episode of the Avengers!

This year's event runs from Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd September 2006, with weekend tickets starting from £88. Don't forget your hipsters.
