Title: Another German Sat Nav Accident!
Post by: Wizzo on October 24, 2006, 04:09:58 PM

An unnamed 53-year-old German driver was told to "turn right" by his navigation system and so he did, without looking at where he was going.

He took his SUV onto a building site in Rudolstadt and proceeded to drive up a staircase and into a small portable toilet.  :DD

It turns out he had turned 30 metres before he was supposed to which led him on to the building site. The question remains however, as to why he drove up the stairs.

The man's SUV caused quite a bit of damage, with the vehicle itself needing £67 worth of repairs.

The stairway received £1,340 worth of damage and the driver was also fined £23.

It's not the first time that a German motorist has followed his sat nav's demands too closely. Follow this link (http://www.gpwizard.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=805.0).
