Kentucky Motor Speedway, which is right up I-71 from Dare, has lost it's anti-trust lawsuit against NASCAR and it's track ownership arm, International Speedway Corp.
The three-judge panel at the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals said the track didn't prove that NASCAR and ISC worked with other tracks to keep Kentucky Speedway off the Cup schedule. The track filed suit in 2005 after being rejected multiple times for a Cup race.
While I'm sad for Kentucky, I'm glad that the Cup will be spared yet another Boring Charlotte Clone.
