How about that goal with 24.4 seconds left in the third to send the game to overtime? Quite a game!!! :yahoo:

The oddest part for me was cheering against Rick Nash. The rest of the year, he's the captain of the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Jackets are the closest thing we have to a local NHL team.

Brian Burke and Ron Wilson are the GM and Coach of the USA team AND the Toronto Maple Leafs (my team, in case you can't guess).  They're supposed to be hockey gods, and then become the hockey devil for two weeks?!  Along with Phil Kessel, the only decent Maple Leaf this year!

One of my friends commented that it must be a new sensation for Rick Nash to be on TV for once ;-)

Rick is on TV all the time!

He does adverts for local restaurants, grocery stores & car dealers.  :-[

Now you both Scott and Jeri are in 7th heaven after the Canada win...i became glad too because Canada battled very well through the game. USA was not easy piece of cake and the game was full of "almost goal" situations. I watched only the first set because it was late night here but i watched highlights today. now Canada has won also 14 medals in Olympics that is the new world record (Russia had 13 ones before).
