Street V8's (with pictures!)
« on: July 18, 2010, 08:56:37 PM »
I took these pictures today (18 July)

Some of us have been have a discussion of the prevalence of V8's vs. lesser engines on the street. I thought I'd do a little census.

I live in a Appalachian town of about 35,000. Downtown is three blocks of Main Street. I walked down it today, Sunday, at noon. The count:

4's = 0

6's = 0

V8's = I stopped counting at 150.

As you can see, it was just a typical small town Sunday after church.  ;)

It's the Gathering of Corvettes. The event is in it's 7th year, and is the kick-off event for our annual, two weeks fine arts festival. There will be an all-makes cruise in next Saturday.

It gets worse than that, Dare. I'll be playing clarinet in an orchestral performance on Friday the 30th.  :swoon:

True fact - the poker playing dogs is second only to Van Gogh's Starry Night as the painting that has reproductions hanging in the most U.S. homes.  :P

yeah, me too Jeri.

speaks volumes about your town's culture cossie and yours too - somehow a guy who plays clarinet in his local orchestra, and who loves cars, sounds he has got a good handle on a balanced life.
