ALMS Announces 2011 Schedule
« on: August 24, 2010, 03:35:48 PM »
The American LeMans Series has released its schedule for next year. 9 races plus the pre-season Sebring test. Mosport moves forward a month. Laguna Seca will again be six hours, but will move from May to September. Long Beach and Mid-Ohio will be split weekends with the IRL. St. Petersburg is still amongst the missing. Two dates are still tentative.

Two date remain open. September 3rd will be on a street circuit in Baltimore, on a split week-end with the IRL. Rumor has it that July 3rd will be a street circuit in Oklahoma City.

This is a great schedule if you live in the midwest, but those of us on the west coast are kind of left out. Sports car racing almost began in Socal.

The Oklahoma City race is dead. The OKC city council voted 6-2 against having the race.
