Day three - Friday

Weather conditions: All day sunny and windy
Number of cars participating: 2

Chassis / engine: BMW Sauber F1.07-01 / BMW P86/7 V8
Test kilometres today: 405 km (101 laps)

Timo Glock:
Chassis / engine: BMW Sauber F1.06-05B / BMW P86 V8
Test kilometres today: 441 km (110 laps)

Programme:
The final day of the first pre-season test of the BMW Sauber F1 Team was very productive. Both drivers were able to cover more than 100 laps.

Willy Rampf, Technical Director: "We are pleased with the first test of the F1.07. No doubt that the car has much potential. After the roll-out on Tuesday, we were able to start working on the different systems during the following days. This included the set-up of the quick shift gearbox as well as checking the hydraulic and the cooling systems. During the past two days we focused manly on the set-up of the car. It was good to see that the car reacts with good correlation to our simulations. This confirms that we have a solid basis for the ongoing development."

What comes next:
The BMW Sauber F1 Team will be testing in Valencia from January 30th until February 1st. By then, the second F1.07 will be ready.

17th- 19th January 2007
Day two - Thursday

Weather conditions: All day sunny and windy
Temperature: Air: 8/19°C, track: 8/21°C
Number of cars participating: 2

Robert Kubica:

Both drivers concentrated on set-up work in order to understand how to make best use of the Bridgestone tyres. Robert was hindered by some teething problems on the new car. They were all minor things but time consuming to be fixed. In addition during the course of the afternoon both drivers were also busy doing some Marketing activities.

What comes next:
Tomorrow the BMW Sauber F1 Team will again be exclusively running in Valencia. Robert will continue working on the set-up of the F1.07 while Timo Glock will take over the F1.06B from Sebastian.

The Stig
