$11 Million Christmas Tree
« on: December 16, 2010, 12:34:25 PM »
If King Midas had been alive, his bedsit would have been as ostentatious as Abu Dhabi’s iconic Emirates Palace Hotel. Their latest edition is the world’s most expensive Christmas tree with a value of over $11 million!

The tree is 43ft tall, and is decorated with 181 pieces of diamond, pearl, emerald necklaces, bracelets, earrings, watches and ball-shaped ornaments, courtesy of a local jeweler. The tree itself is about 10,000 dollars.

When you are as rich as they are you do whatever you like, when you like. ;)

It's in an hotel, so I guess it's for the international guests.

With so many precious gems on show I wonder if a gang is contemplating the 'Abu Dhabi Job', in Fiat 500s instead of Minis.  :D
