Austin Mini's go down stairs, but not up contrary to those in the Italian Job.  Engineering students at a University near where I grew up put a professor's car in a cafeteria which was down half a flight of stairs.  They had to take off a hand railing and door centre post to do it.  Word was it cost the University $6000 to remove it without damaging anything.  Before any of you say you could have done it cheaper, the problem was there was a landing at the top and the stairs went down at a 90 degree angle to the doors, and nothing strong enough to attach a winch to.
