It looks like it flies very well. It certainly is a stable camera platform. The aerial footage is wonderful.

It looked like there is a good sized body of water off to one side. Is it a lake or a bay of some kind?

That would be The Straight of Georgia and that view would be looking pretty much east toward mainland BC. I'm standing about the middle of this map.
