Earl Grey Tea
« on: August 29, 2011, 01:45:37 PM »
I have a question for my British friends. What's up with Twining's Earl Grey? Their website says it's been "Refreshed" with extra citrus. It tastes about the way Fast Orange Hand Degreaser smells!

Has anyone over there noticed any difference? Was this the idea of the same person who thought up New Coke?

I've switched to St. Dalfour. Who would have thought that one would have to go to the French to buy tea?

A word of warning to those of you in the UK - This link contains references to iced tea.  :swoon:

New Coke was brought out because Pepsi was gaining on them with a sweeter taste, so they thought they would get share back by making Coke sweeter. Of course it didn't work and is now regarded as one of the greatest marketing blunders of all time. With the rise of raspberry and orange teas among others, the same mentality is probably at work here.  :nono:
