REAL men play Lacrosse. The ball is small and hard, and you get a stick that you can beat on the other guys with. :D

Rugby?  Isn't that the prehistoric version of Amercian football?   :P :P

On a point of order Assosiation Football (Soccer or Footy) codes came first. Rugby codes sprung from disaffected Clubs and schools, who wanted handling of the ball in the rules, getting together after Soccer was formalised, American Football came after both. So in truth Soccer is the prehistoric version of all football.  :D

In Lacrosse it's legal to bang on the other guy. 8)

In rugby, it's required!  :good:

Great game Ian, the Italians gave England a good game. You can't believe how cold it was in that stadium, but the Peroni kept us warm. Bit gutted the Ireland game was cancelled but we still made it to the Fiddlers Elbow Irish pub in Rome centre were way to many pints of beer were consumed. To be honest I wasn't feeling to smart at 7-30am this morning when I had to get up and get packed for the transfer back to the airport. But a few Italian coffee's later I was back to at least 20% anyway.  ;)

Here's a couple of pictures from pitch side as promised.

Better go straight to that Irish Pub.  A few hours there and you won't even realize it's snowing.

Are you there with the family David?  Rome's pretty nice, but covered in white makes the touristy bits a bit rough.  I saw a picture on the internet of a snowboarder going down right beside the Colosseum.

No unfortunately not, I was there for a conference on Friday for work, but we stayed on until Sunday to catch the game and to soak up some Italian culture (roughly translated:- beer). I was down by the Colosseum last night, didn't see any snow boarders but there were plenty of snow balls flying about. Rome is an awesome city but I hope the next time I'm there it's warm and dry. It's a truly international city, is amazing the people you meet, I even had a few beers with a guy form Dares country Kentucky. Asked him if he knew you but he didn't.  ;)

Good ones Dave. Hehe, when they went into the scrums the steam rising up was like rutting stags.

Wow - great seats!  Almost on the field (or is it called a pitch or something silly like that?  A pitch is a baseball term!).   :tease: :tease:

Glad you had a great time David.  We hope to go to Rome this spring for a weekend.   :good: :good:
