I think it looked worse than it really was.The two track
workers were in more danger than the driver

That is nasty one people...

Would that been a same result if a F1 car was involved, and given the fact that F1 cars have significantly more speed coming out of the tunnel, would the fence be enough to stop? :DntKnw: :DntKnw: :DntKnw:

And what are the chances that a young driver found it difficult to adjust to the sudden light changes of the tunnel, misjudging the front car and end up almost in the Riviera?  :DntKnw:

Brown trouser moment ? I reckon the base of the marshal's stand must have been brown.

Yeah pretty scary stuff for them boys in the marshals post.  :swoon:

Now is that different from the Schumi/Senna shunt in Barcelona?
The commentator is quite convinced that it's the lead cars fault, however the stewards should have a different view of it in light of the Barcelona incident.
This time they should say Suranovich, the car in front, moved (albeit for the 2nd time) to take the normal line for the chicane ahead and there was still at least a cars width down the left hand side (even though no one would really want to brake hard and late there at that corner), plus Daly in the following car at no point had wheels alongside.

Now is that blocking from the lead car or is it poor driving from the following car?????

Suranovich has been excluded from the results, but not for causing the crash but for  ignoring the Black & Orange flag, not clear if that is for damage before or after the shunt.
If it's for damage from the shunt then to stop this looking like a diplomatic fix, by using the exclusion, we'll have to wait on a Schumi type penalty for Daly, or are the Stewards becoming a real bunch of footy referees?

A good thing that the old barrier on the inside of the Nouvelle Chicane is gone. Daly would have ended up hitting it, too.

Is the old "one defending move" rule still in effect in GP2? I didn't know that it was gone from F1 until Ali's post on the subject.
