2013 24 Hours of Le Mans Moved

The 90th anniversary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans has been moved back one week. The race will now be held on the week-end of June 22nd & 23rd. The move was made "in order to harmonize the world calendar of motor racing events." The test day will now be June 9th and scrutineering will be on the 16th & 17th.

This will be the fifteenth time in eighty one runnings that the race will be at the end of the 25th week of the year.

Why they had to cripple the Mulsanne straight? Admit it was dangerous, so why not improve safety measure? Why change the track, ruins the beauty of it..

Totally agree. I hate chicanes. If they wanted to shorten the straight, they could have put in a real turn of some kind.

Just another example of the FIA. Their "one size fits all" rule about the maximum length for a straight is at fault. The ACO should really just tell the FIA where to stick their edicts and go back to the ILMC.
