Lola Lives!
« on: December 18, 2012, 07:40:04 PM »
There's good news tonight!  :yahoo:

Lola Group Holding has cut a deal with Carl Haas Automotive Imports & Multimatic Motorsport to supply parts for Lola cars. The deal covers all Lola sports and single seat race cars. They can also build new cars.

“The Lola brand continues and this agreement with Multimatic and Haas ensures that the legacy of Lola's success on the track will endure,” said Lola owner Martin Birrane. “The close bond between Lola, Multimatic and Haas should lead to a beneficial result for all Lola teams”.

Good to see an iconic name living on.

Nice of the Lola parent company to dump the losses on others and then continue to make money from licensing out Lola designs. Someone should have continued the Lola name, and surely would have, but this way leaves a bad taste, especially as a lot of people were put out of work in Britain when the firm was collapsed.

The Lola name lives on, but its not Lola.
