Have Red Bull lost the plot on fun in F1?
« on: May 21, 2013, 10:42:42 AM »
RBR were originally the fun-boys, McLaren the rather serious dudes in grey, argues GP Week's Trent Price. Now things have changed - and how!

For me constant wins seems to have brought out the worst side of young Vettel, it also looks as though the whole RBR team has moved to the Dark Grey side.  :D

For me the biggest problem at RBR is not Vettel, but Marko.  Marko is also Vettel's enabler, so Vettel would probably be better balanced without Marko's suck-up influence.  >:(

It is nice to see Mclaren loosening up, but some might point to that change in management style as a possible cause to their current problems.  :DntKnw:

I also think that Herr Marko is a primary source of the team's problems. His bad-mouthing of Webber in The Red Bulletin is a prime example. While his attack on Mark was far from unexpected, the fact that the team's house organ published it was inexcusable. It simply highlighted the disarray in the team.

I think Red Bull realized that instead of making cool stunts to keep them in the headline, they could unleash Herr Marko to keep grabbing the headlines, and divert the cash to Adrian for success. :D

Surely McLaren has lost its way, and the grunt must be endured by the management. The Woking based team, cannot found himself fight for the fifth place in the grid with Force India, with almost 1/3 of their budget, while they were expected to be a championship contender  :nono: :nono:

Not the first time Macca has had an idea that didn't work out the way they thought it would. I wonder if they miss Lewis' testing skill?

I hope this doesn't turn into too much of an acrimonious season, with Red Bull and Ferrari continually slagging each other off like petty politicians. It certainly has that potential.

As for McLaren, and I know it's been said before, but if they spent more time developing the car and less time lining up their spanners, maybe there'd be some progress.
