Alex Wurz set the pace for the second straight day as Williams and Spyker continued their test session at Spain’s Valencia circuit on Tuesday.
The Austrian set an almost identical time to his Monday benchmark as he ran through a set-up programme in the morning before switching to pit stop practice in the afternoon.
Team-mate Nico Rosberg took over the second Toyota-powered FW29 from test driver Kazuki Nakajima and finished 0.3s adrift of Wurz.
Christijan Albers was the fastest of three Spyker drivers on hand, with a best lap nearly two seconds off Wurz’s standard.
Team-mate Adrian Sutil logged a mammoth 128 laps as he carried out a race simulation, which he completed without any mechanical problems.
Fairuz Fauzy had his debut outing in an F1 car after recently being announced as part of Spyker’s four-man test driver line-up.
The Malaysian kept his nose clean and clocked up enough laps to qualify for a super licence.
