Leonard Nimoy Dies at Age 83

Leonard Nimoy, Mr. Spock of Stat Trek, has died of a lung problem at age 83.

The story goes that Nimoy did a guest star role on Gene Roddenberry's early 60's TV series The Lieutenant. Roddenberry said to an assistant, "If I ever do a sci-fi, I'm putting pointed ears on that guy."

After the original Trek was cancelled, Nimoy went on to the role of Paris in the Mission Impossible series.

As many of you know, I've been a fan of Trek since the original series. Like many fan, Spock was a favorite. Trek wasn't Nimoy's first sci-fi effort. In 1952, he had a small role as a villain in Zombies of the Stratosphere.

Spock would not expect us to mourn, it's not logical it's emotional.  Never the less RIP Leonard.
 
Oh and I hope I make it to at least 83.

He blamed his breathing problems on being a smoker and encouraged others to quit. ome of my friends called me Spock because I try to be detached and logical....not always as successfully as Spock!! RIP Mr Nimoy, well done.
