Budacanta
« on: April 04, 2021, 10:32:44 AM »
I've been quiet here for the last few months. The main reason is that I've been coding a game called Budacanta, based on a holiday I took to the 2018 Hungarian Grand Prix.

The demo has now launched at Spring Thing 2021, a festival of interactive fiction games. There's 38 games of various kinds, ranging from visual novels like mine to parser-based adventures like those some of you played in the 1980s (yes, there are still people making games like Zork out there). The demo has the first day of what will eventually be 12 days of holidays.

Feel free to enjoy the games, and if you play Budacanta, please do give me feedback so I can improve.

I've fixed a few pesky bugs. If you have downloaded Budacanta, please re-download it.

I should have updated this a couple of months ago, but Budacanta won two prizes - "Most Informative" and "Most Honest" game of the Spring Thing competition.

The latest version of the demo is at itch.io, although I am expecting to add an Indonesian translation in the next week or two if you that's important to you.
