Lewis Hamilton will be the star attraction at the Goodwood Festival of Speed at Goodwood House over 22–24 June.

Hamilton will take part in the 1.16-mile Goodwood hillclimb in an F1 McLaren on Sunday 24 June, two weeks prior to the Silverstone Grand Prix.

David Coulthard, Jensen Button and Anthony Davidson will also attend the festival. Davidson will drive 1987 championship-winning Williams-Honda FW11B previously driven by Nelson Piquet and Nigel Mansell.

Both Davidson and Button are also due to take part in the Goodwood Organic Milk Race, which teams top drivers with professional cyclists in a time trial up the Goodwood Hill – and back down.

Also attending will be a host of new cars, from the 342mph Acabion GTBO, 1012bhp Bristol Fighter T and

Public debuts in action on Goodwood Hill will include:

• Maserati Gran Turismo

• Caparo T1

• Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR Roadster

• Audi R8

• Bentley Brooklands Coupe

• Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

• Porsche 911 GT3RS

• Bio-ethanol-powered Concept Climax

• Electric Tesla Roadster,

• Pininfarina Ferrari P4/5 Enzo

• RUF CT3

• Artega GT

Static displays of the new Ford Mondeo, Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, Mazda 2, and Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, are also included.

The Goodwood Technology Pavilion will include an exhibition on the future of motoring and environmental issues and will feature the Ital Design Vadho, Honda Small Hybrid Sports Concept and Mazda Hakaze, Toyota FT- HS hybrid and Peugeot 908 RC.

Honda’s Asimo robot will be on hand to freak people out and the NissanPivo will provide bafflement.
