Harder than it looks
« on: June 29, 2006, 04:52:42 PM »
The 2006 championship is proving 'more difficult' to dominate than last year, according to Pat Symonds.

Renault's technical chief insists that, while Fernando Alonso is seemingly enjoying a clear car advantage at present, Ferrari is currently a tougher rival than McLaren in 2005.

''2005 was definitely easier,'' Symonds said, ''because McLaren had the same tyres as us. So it was always fairly easy to know how we were looking going into the next race.

''But now we are fighting against Ferrari and Schumacher. They are stable and reliable, and have different tyres -- which requires a different approach from us.

''We have to be wary each weekend about what Ferrari are going to do.''

Ferrari lack of pace last year was the tyres...1 set wouldnt work on their car

i personally believe the success of the ferrari over recent years was all down to tryes

it appears to me that a ferrari that can only use 1 set of tryes is an average car

give it 3 and corr blimey its its a top car
