Ohio Air Show
« on: August 11, 2008, 02:43:23 PM »
Several of us were talking about this in the Chat Room over the week-end.

The Historical Aircraft Squadron here in Lancaster, Ohio will be hlding our annual Wings of Victory Airshow this coming week-end, 16-17 August at Fairfield County Airport. I'd like to invite everyone to come on out.

I've been a member of the Squadron since its formation back in 1994. We restore and fly historic military aircraft. We recently finished a 10 year restoration of a WW2 vintage A-26 Invader. We have two current projects, a Vultee BT-13 and a Stinson A-10. (The WW2 A-10, not the current A-10 Warthog.)

Most of the week-end, I'll be up on the roof of the Terminal Building at the announcers' booth. Stop in and say hi.

The pix is our A-26 sitting outside of our hanger/museum.

A couple of quick pix from practice on Friday. The first one is the B-17 Memphis Belle. It's not the original. It's the one used in the 1990 movie.

Yes, nice pics Cos.

Wiz,

Can anything be done so that pics open up full page so that you can see the full pic rather than using sliders to view bits of them?

I went very well, Neil & Steven. We had a wing walker, the Air Force F-16 Demo Team, many WW 2 warbirds and various areobatic stuff. Good crowds & great weather all week-end.

Claw & I are still recovering. I'll have some more pix later.

There is no limit to the physical size of a picture when posted but I have limited the width of the forum otherwise it could end up two foot wide!

The only way to view pictures properly is in the Image Gallery click here http://www.gpwizard.co.uk/index.php?ind=gallery and then on 'ADD IMAGE' in the top right hand corner and it should be self explanatory after this.

Your pictures will not appear immediately as I have to 'approve' them first otherwise we could end up with all sorts of rubbish.

There isn't enough rum on the entire planet!
