24 hrs of the Nürburgring
« on: May 22, 2008, 03:25:46 PM »
The 24 Hours of the Nürburgring--the old Nürburgring--begins on Saturday, May 24, in Germany's Eifel Mountains.

Featuring more than 200 cars, 800 drivers and 150,000 crazed spectators, the 24 Hours of the 'Ring is like nothing else on the planet. For starters, it runs on the Green Hell itself, the legendary Nordschleife feared by even the world's greatest drivers.

For another, this is not your typical professional road race. Rather than being dominated by multi-million-dollar factory efforts, amateur and semipro drivers--in an eclectic mix of cars--make up the majority of the field.

The Nürburgring will have a live webcam at:

Mark Twain once opined, "it's easier to con someone than to convince them they've been conned."
