A brief look at the 1912 winner. You don't need to bother Cossie, it's only a 4 cyclinder.

I'll bet Cos drives a 4 banger and won't admit it Lonny ;)

After changing the plugs in my 6 cylinder Chevy I wish I
had a 4 banger, had to take the alternator off to put in the
back 3 :'(

My Yugo and MG are both 4's. I've raced many 4's (Pintos, Porsche 914's and a 550 Spyder and others)

I have nothing against 4 poppers. I love 'em, but they're hardly exotic. I'll enjoy the bologna sandwich I'm having for lunch, but don't try to tell me that it's filet mignon.

My Dad's '53 International had a V8 in it, that was hardly exotic. Neither are the V8s in NASCAR, although revving a push rod engine to 10K for four hours is pretty impressive. Engine layout or sound doesn't confer exotic-ness on a motor. It's the technology you use to design and build it that makes it exotic. Otherwise they should limit it to 12 and 16 cylinder engines.
