I ain't sure either Dare, different, but I don't think I dislike them. They're definitely better looking than the platypus noses though.

From the front they are OK. From the rear they look like oversize go carts.  I understand the desire to keep them from interlocking wheels, but then it's not really open wheel racing is it? They may think they need Texas, but they shouldn't build the cars for tracks they don't really belong on, they should race on proper tracks. If the racing is good the fans will come back.

They just aren't open wheel cars any more. They remind me of the last year or two of the Can-Am, back in the 70's. They put wide bodies on F5000 cars. From straight on behind they look like LMP cars. The nose is a bit better than the old Dallara. The "engines" sound HORRIBLE!!!!!!

Maybe they should get someone who has at least seen a race at least once in his life to run the series.

There's certainly more room for advertising...

I thought I'd seen these cars before.

The Wolf WR4-Cosworth. Desiré Wilson used one to take the win at Brands Hatch in 1980 in the British Aurora AFX Formula One series.  :D

Trust Indy to be a couple of decades behind F1.  :DD :DD

Even that car doesn't have a rear bumper.
