This Mini was hand built Locally and belongs to a very good friend of mine.
It has a bike engine and is incredibly fast. David does Hill climbs locally as
well as nearby Sicily.

I reckon your memory is spot on Chris. Lauda and Watson drove for Mclaren that year both had red and white helmets but Watson's was predominanly white and vice versa for Niki.

This is at Brands Hatch. These pics are ancient as you can tell by the quality.

Top pics, " Alfa Romeo", could have been Andrea De Cesaris.
BottomPic, "Renault Elf, not too sure who the driver might be, at a guess maybe Rene Arnoux.

Hi Scott and thank you. Jacob has raced in the U.K. at Whilton Mill, Shenninghton, P.F International, Rye House and also did the Kimbolton festival taking part in the TKM Junior 100cc and in his first ever race achieved "Best Novice" of the day at his first attempt.

I the U.K. Jacob was racing with the S.R.S racing under the guidance of "Stuart Zemilis".

He was the youngest Champion locally in the 100cc. He then took to 125cc KF1`s, but we had to pack it in as things got out out of hand. They did their best to bend the rules as he was beating them with inferior machinery, and they could never accept that. It is a great shame really as he had Excellent potential.

We are now looking into a single seater, and maybe Jacob do some Hill climbing, but we are on a very limited budget. We are in no hurry as Jacob is in his last year at University doing "European Studies".

Jacob is Kart number 72.

This was in 2002 when we were invited to a day`s Testing at Silverstone. This was the closest I could get to "Alonso". I even managed to get a signed Autograph to my son Jacob, which I will post at a later date. :yahoo:
