Indy 500 Attendance Streaks
« on: August 23, 2020, 02:32:59 PM »
Many Indy 500 fans pride themselves on how many they have gone to in a row. Some of these attendance streaks go back 50 years or more. Needless to say, these folks were very unhappy when the state of Indiana ruled that no fans would be allowed this year.

The Speedway has come to the rescue. Speedway President Doug Boles has issued an official proclamation that all "streaks" will remain intact as long as the fans watch or listen to this year's race.

The streaks have no official value other than bragging rights, but they mean a lot to the fans. It was a very kind & thoughtful thing for The Speedway to do. And, yes, Doug is a holdover Hulman/George guy.  :good:
