I wonder how 'championship' bonuses count towards the salary cap.

I don't know if it's still like this, but the National Football League had a salary cap, and any post season bonuses counted towards the NEXT season's cap.

Thinking about this does make me think back to Kimi basically bankrupting the Lotus team he was racing for by earning bonuses per point, and then contending for the championship.

Championship bonuses count for whichever calendar year they get paid out, as far as I know.
