There'll have to be a substitute driver in the Racing Point, probably Gutiérrez as Vandoorne may have FE commitments.
Anyone with Perez in GG picks need to think again.

Looks like Racing Point has signed Nico Hulkenberg for the weekend. Good to have him back.

RP signed Hulk because neither of Merc's reserves were available. Van Doorne was racing FE and Gutierrez was ineligible due to a new FIA rule.

Any idea who has a super licence and isn't tied up in another series? Is Rosberg still qualified? If I was racing Formula E, I might see about isolation myself to wait for a seat to open up in F1!

Rosberg is not qualified because he last raced in F1 more than 3 years ago.
Had to laugh though. When the initial news came through that Checo couldn't do the British Grand Prix, Felipe Drugovich (one of the F2 drivers) immediately piped up "I'm available!" To which MP Motorsport (his team) replied "NO YOU'RE NOT" (Felipe lacked the necessary Superlicence points anyhow...)
I don't have a full list of eligibility and availability, but Fernando should be available after Le Mans in September (there's only one WEC round after that, and I believe it's on a F1 weekend).
