Title: Volvo Ditches Leather for its E-cars
Post by: cosworth151 on September 28, 2021, 02:41:30 PM
Volvo will not offer leather interiors in its electric cars, starting with the C40 Recharge. It will use a textile developed in-house called Nordico. It's made from recycled wine corks, water bottles & forestry by products. (I'm not kidding).

The 'operating window' for leather never worked for me.  Either it bakes in the sun and burns your thighs, or it's frozen solid and like sitting on a rock.

Unless of course you pre start your car to let it warm up/cool off, which I don't know if that's a good idea with an electric car.
