It was actually a drug running boat that crossed the channel.  It was so fast that at first the authorities thought it was a radar ghost.  Only once a helicopter spotted it did they believe it.  They caught it with something like 100kg cocaine onboard.  Hope it comes up for sale in auction one of these days  :D

I guess he needed a bigger transom for more engines.
